MOU concluded with Vietnam National University, Hanoi, University of Science

Faculty of Engineering, University of Fukui (UF) has recently concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vietnam National University, Hanoi, University of Science (VNU-HUS). Mutual academic exchange, including student exchange, will be further enhanced between the two institutions.

As of February 5, 2025, UF has 177 partner institutions in 41 countries and regions.

The Department of Nuclear Safety Engineering and the Research Institute of Nuclear Engineering have recently been strengthening the cooperative relationships with Vietnamese universities for the human resource development in the field of Nuclear Engineering. We have conducted student invitation programs with VNU-HUS through the JST Sakura Science Program (SSP) since 2020, and we plan to further promote the collaborative education and research in Nuclear Engineering in line with the restart of nuclear power plant construction project in Vietnam. We will continue to invite students from VNU-HUS through SSP, and promote to provide seminars in VNU-HUS. Also, we are preparing to host exchange students as well as degree students from VNU-HUS.
